Metric Threads are measured by measuring the outer diameter and specified by pitch.in millimeters. The pitch is in millimeters per thread crest to crest. Measure the third and forth thread from the end for the pitch. Popular pitch size for GAZ fittings are 1.5 millimeters. We used a male fitting as an example to easily see how fittings are measured.
